Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Flint Chrome extension or the website at useflint.dev(collectively, the "Service"), operated by Flint ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of service

Flint is a browser extension and web platform that scores and rewrites AI prompts in real time, and tracks usage analytics across AI platforms. The Service is provided "as is" and features may change at any time without notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Flint. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using Flint on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when registering
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• Not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
• Transmit malicious code, spam, or unsolicited communications
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service in ways not intended
• Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other technical restrictions
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure

5. Free and paid plans

Flint offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan. Features available on each tier are described on the pricing page and may change. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

6. Intellectual property

The Flint Service, including its design, code, trademarks, and content, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (e.g. saved contexts, prompt text). By submitting content to the Service you grant us a limited licence to process and store it solely to provide the Service to you.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that prompt scores and rewrites will meet your expectations.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flint and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, without prior notice. Sections 6, 7, 8, and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before resorting to formal proceedings.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users by email.
